Gifted Kids Creative Centre is a leading children and teens' talent development centre committed to nurturing young people through performing arts, media and creative education. Since 2014.
What happens at GKCC
GKCC provides children with professional platforms to discover, develop and showcase their gifts, through structured training that culminates in real, public results, not just classroom exercises.
A child in our semester program gets at least two professional musical plays a year, staged at venues like Jalaram Auditorium, plus up to five professional audition opportunities annually, always arranged directly through parents, with our team offering guidance rather than inserting itself between families and production companies.
- Films made by children, premiered at Anga Cinema and other professional theatres
- End-of-semester musical plays staged at professional auditoriums
- Individualized training in public speaking, photography, creative writing, videography, editing, animation, dance and singing
- Mentorship in professionalism, leadership, visual arts, book authorship, studio recording and podcast creation
- Consultancy and technical support for schools, covering scripting, directing, costumes and props

Prince Mwangi featured as Jeff in Becky on Citizen TV, several Netflix productions, numerous adverts and billboards, and the Hollywood film Christmas Karma.

Meet the founder
Ephantus Kariithi Mugo
An accomplished educator, theatre practitioner, filmmaker, talent developer and arts consultant, Kariithi began his professional journey as an English teacher within Kenya's 8-4-4 system, directing plays and elocution performances that competed at the Kenya National Drama and Film Festivals and the Kenya Music Festival.
His work in Theatre for Development and Magnet Theatre with various NGOs led to national community-engagement programs, and an appointment as a facilitator with the Kenya National Youth Talent Academy. He is a graduate of Theatre, Film and Performing Arts from both Kenyatta University and KCA University.
Teaching in leading international schools exposed him to structured talent-development programs, and to a gap between what those learners had access to and what was available in Kenya's local curriculum schools. Wanting his own children to have the same opportunities, he founded Gifted Kids Creative Centre in 2014.
For nearly two years, the programme consisted of his own children and two other learners. Steady results gradually attracted more families, growing into an institution that has since impacted hundreds of children through performing arts, media, film, public speaking and leadership training.
